Projection on bronze and marble / proiezione su marmo e bronzo

Time stratifies stories.
The new green grows on the old, sometimes choking it, climbs up searching for the light. But although there is a constant renewal, the pines are still pine trees, the ivy remains the ivy and mud mud. The forest is an entity in constant flux, in which the plants create new paths and the water searches for new tracks, but to us it looks like the same forest as it has ever been.

The first reflects the light, while the other absorbs it: 
In the flow of events, some leave a strong imprint on the territory, while others occur but do not leave traces or memories.



THE GUARDIAN OF THE SACRED FOREST

On the opening the installation will be accompanied by the musical performance of Maddalena Bianchi and Mino di Martino:

"The Keepers of the Sacred Grove" is the name of a secret society formed in 1200 in northern Italy. The only rule of their statutes required the participants to gather at night in the woods at the foot of some old oak tree. To the sound of flutes and the sistrum they made ​​up songs about  sacred or profane love, or they would recite verses of critique against the power.

Il tempo stratifica le storie. ll nuovo cresce sul vecchio, a volte soffocandolo, vi si arrampica alla ricerca della luce. Ma pur trattandosi di un rinnovamento costante i pini sono sempre pini, l’ edera rimane l’ edera e il fango fango. Il bosco é un’entità in continuo mutamento, all’interno del quale il verde crea nuovi sentieri e l’acqua trova nuove strade, ma ci appare come il bosco di sempre.

Nel flusso degli eventi, alcuni lasciano una forte impronta sul territorio, a volte mutano con i passaggi e le interpretazioni, altri invece avvengono ma non lasciano ne traccia ne ricordo.



I CUSTODI DEL BOSCO SACRO

Il giorno dell'inaugurazione l'istallazione verrà affiancata dalla performance di Maddalena Bianchi e Mino de Martino.

“I Custodi del Bosco Sacro” è il nome di una società segreta formata da alcuni goliardi nel milleeduecento in Italia settentrionale. L'unica norma del loro statuto imponeva ai partecipanti qualora ne avessero avuto il desiderio di raccogliersi di notte nei boschi ai piedi di qualche quercia secolare. Al suono dei flauti e del sistro componevano canzoni sull'amore sacro o sull'amor profano o recitavano versi di critica al potere.
